Tom Godden celebrated with 2020 Community NCCP Coach Developer Award

The most deserving and influential NCCP Coach Developers in Canada are honoured annually by the Coaching Association of Canada with the Community NCCP Coach Developer Awards. Included among the 2020 recipients of this years awards is St. John’s resident, Tom Godden for his work with Coaching NL. These awards recognize outstanding individuals who have gone above and beyond to inspire and develop National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) coaches in their community. A total of 9 NCCP Coach Developers from across the country were recently recognized with an award for their contributions to the sport system in Canada.
“Tom has invested considerable time and energy into developing and educating NCCP coaches, which has had an overwhelmingly positive impact on their community,” said Natalie Rumscheidt, Director of Marketing and Communications at the Coaching Association of Canada. “He is a proven leader who is an invaluable resource and mentor for aspiring coaches. We are honoured to present Tom Godden with a 2020 Community NCCP Coach Developer Award.”
“Tom has been a champion for the continued development of NCCP Delivery here in Newfoundland and Labrador and has been instrumental in the launch of our online delivery over the past year and a half that has increased the accessibility of coach education in our province. We are very fortunate to have him as a part of the Coaching NL team,”said Doug Halliday, Project Leader with Coaching NL.
