Caroline Ball’s career involves curling and golf at the provincial and national levels. She was Provincial Ladies Curling chairman on three occasions and headed the Canadian Ladies Curling Association. In addition to being president of both organizations she filled a wide range of other executive positions for both groups between 1975 and 1982, including being responsible for two national ladies curling championships within the province.
As an executive member, Mrs. Ball served on the provincial ladies golf association in several capacities between 1962 and 1974. She was a member of 14 teams that represented Newfoundland in national curling competition and played in one national ladies golf championship.
Besides her service to sport, she has been extremely active in community work, heading the provincial Girl Guides Association for 10 years and serving in various capacities with the Central Newfoundland Hospital Auxiliary, the Northclifee Drama Club, the Advisory Board of the Memorial University Art Gallery and other organizations in Grand Falls and Central Newfoundland.
