Sport NL was proud to partner this fall with Memorial University’s School of Human Kinetics to pilot the delivery of Sport for Life’s Physical Literacy Instructors course to students in its Physical and Health Literacy Course training 26 of our provinces future leaders.

The Sport for Life Society, Coaching Association of Canada, and HIGH FIVE® developed the Physical Literacy Instructor Program as a blended e-learning and in-person training experience that provides the opportunity for an individual to become a recognized Physical Literacy Instructor. The training consist of Fundamental Movement Skills, PHCD, and Physical Literacy specific training to equip leaders how to recognize, use, and implement quality physical activity programs which support the development of physical literacy.
