Sport Newfoundland and Labrador’s education, training opportunities, and resources are designed to strengthen and enhance sport culture across the province. These offerings support Provincial Sport Organizations and community sport organizations in achieving their objectives through comprehensive professional development that builds knowledge, skills, and capacity.

Each session is developed in collaboration with subject matter experts and provides organizations and their volunteers with practical tools, best practices, and insights to advance sport in Newfoundland and Labrador.

All education session are free of charge to SportNL members and their community sport organizations.

Lunch and Lunch Series: Organizations will hear directly from CRA’s GST/HST Headquarters Representative who has 35 years experience working in CRA’s GST/HST programs.

The Inclusion Learning Series: Organizations will be introduced to diversity, equity, and belonging through sessions with INclusion INcorporated, a full-service JEDI (justice, equity, diversity and inclusion) consulting firm that supports leasers and their organizations on their inclusion journeys towards cultures of belonging. They believe that creating spaces and places where each person can thrive is an important and foundational way to build communities of care within our workplace.

Through this workshop we will explore the foundations of racism, the context of systemic discrimination, the meaning and impacts of white supremacy and ways to begin to unlearn beyond colonialism. Workshop attendees will gain a deeper understanding of tools and approaches to anti-racism, its connection to equity and greater sensitivity to the experiences of racialized individuals and groups.
