Sport Newfoundland and Labrador is excited to open nominations for the 2024 Annual Awards!
This year, we have introduced six new categories to expand our awards and celebrate even more of the incredible talent our province has to offer.
The Team of the Year award has been divided into four categories—Senior Male Team of the Year, Senior Female Team of the Year, Youth Male Team of the Year, and Youth Female Team of the Year—to highlight the diverse excellence of teams across our province. Additionally, we have added two new awards: Youth Official of the Year and Rising Star Coach of the Year, which recognize young individuals making a positive impact in our sports community.
For the 2024 Annual Awards we will have nine (9) returning categories:
Senior Male Athlete of the Year
Senior Female Athlete of the Year
Junior Male Athlete of the Year
Junior Female Athlete of the Year
As well as six (6) new categories:
Senior Female Team of the Year
For a total of fifteen (15) categories.
Nominations are to be put forward by Provincial Sport Organizations (PSO) only. If you would like to suggest a nominee for your sport, please contact your Provincial Sport Organization to discuss. You can find PSO contact information by visiting the Find a Sport page.
All Provincial Sport Organizations may submit one nomination per category for your organization. Please ensure you review the guidelines for each award prior to submitting. All nominations can be submitted through Google Forms so simply “submit” your nomination and it will be sent directly to Katie Thompson, Communications Manager communications@sportnl.ca
